Introduction
A month or so back, I went to a local spa to have a back massage; my left shoulder was bothering me. The therapist, Don, and I talked a bit and he asked what medications I was on; I told him. I told him that one of my goals was to get off those medicines by diet but I was having a difficult time with it. He spoke of a book written by Dr. William Davis, Wheat Belly. Don explained that Dr. Davis, a cardiologist, had found that eliminating wheat from one’s diet could reverse many of today’s medical problems. He has well over 2,000 patients as proof.
So I bought a copy of the book and read it immediately. I could not believe what I was reading; I had the solution in my hand. So I implemented the wheat-free diet about a month ago and can state that this works; I have dropped my blood sugar count by 19 points, some 17% in one month. I have taken myself off the Metformin that my doctor had prescribed; my blood sugars are now well within the normal ranges.
So how does this work? Read more

Protect Your Heart with CoQ10 and Vitamin B6
New research has found that two simple nutrients, vitamin B6 and CoQ10, can improve the health of your heart.
If you're looking for ways to improve the health of your heart, don't overlook the dramatic impact of two simple nutrients: vitamin B6 and CoQ10.
In a controlled study published in the journal Nutrition Research in October 2012, researchers from Chung Shan Medical University in Taiwan measured blood levels of vitamin B6 and CoQ10 in 89 healthy controls and 45 people with coronary artery disease (CAD, defined as at least 50 percent stenosis of one major coronary artery). The researchers found that participants with CAD had significantly lower levels of both chemicals than healthy participants. Read more

Chamomile: The Anti-Cancer Tea
Chamomile tea fights cancer, new research suggests. A chemical contained in chamomile tea takes away the superpowers in the disease's cells
A cup of camomile tea could help ward off cancer, researchers say.
The tea contains a chemical, apigenin, which takes away some of the ‘superpowers’ of cancer cells.
Scientists at Ohio State University found apigenin can block the ability of breast cancer cells to live far longer than normal cells, halting their spread and making them more sensitive to drug therapy. Read more

Take SAMe to Feel Better All Over
Want to feel better all over? A powerful SAM-e supplement can help joints, liver, mood, and much more, says Margaret Durst.
SAMe is a biological compound that is found in every cell in the human body. It is important because it plays a key role in methylation which is a process that activates more than a hundred different processes in the body – from preserving joint health, protecting against heart disease, and producing neurotransmitters such as serotonin.
The average adult makes about 6 to 8 grams of SAMe per day. Most of this is made in the liver where it works to detoxify the body of poisons such as drugs, alcohol, heavy metals, pesticides and solvents. Numerous research studies have found that raising the level of SAMe in the body helps to reduce the age related biological processes that result in diseases such as depression, osteoarthritis and liver disorders.
Research has shown that SAMe stimulates cartilage to grow which is a component in reversing osteoarthritis. Cartilage is the spongy cushion between the bone and the joint which gradually deteriorates in osteoarthritis. Also SAMe has been shown to reverse damage in the synovial fluid in the joints caused by factors common in rheumatoid arthritis. Read more

Herbal medicine has been around for centuries, and it just so happens to have a much more comprehensive track record of success than conventional medicine, which more often than not comes with nasty side effects. Are You Suffering from Excessive Electricity?
Electron deficiency might be an underlying cause of most chronic diseases, says Joseph Mercola.
For thousands of years, Eastern civilizations have used forms of energy medicine to unblock and regulate energy channels in the body. For example, acupuncture has a long history of success in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The West has been slow to embrace energy medicine, holding a more biochemical view of the human body, as opposed to “the body electric.”
Hold a stethoscope to your body and you’ll hear a lot of electrical chatter. Your nervous system communicates using electricity (i.e., movement of electrons), receiving and transmitting electrical signals throughout your body. Most of your biological processes are electrical. Read more

Myopia Caused by Lack of Sunlight
Children who play outside have better eyesight than those who spend more time indoors. Studies have found that children exposed to the least amount of daylight had elongated eyeballs, which causes myopia.
Children who spend more time playing outside are less likely to suffer from short-sightedness.
Two new studies have added to the body of evidence that daylight plays an important role in preventing the condition.
It is not known why daylight is important but some experts believe levels of the brain chemical dopamine play a role. High levels of dopamine in the eyeball have been associated with a lower risk of short-sightedness. Read more
