An Orange a Day Keeps the Wrinkles Away

A new study shows that people who eat foods rich in vitamin C have fewer wrinkles than those whose diets contained little of the vitamin.
British scientists examined links between nutrient intake and skin ageing in 4,025 women aged 40-74 years using data from the first National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. All the women had extensive dermatologic examinations designed to evaluate skin wrinkling and other aspects of skin ageing and also completed a survey listing all the foods they ate in a particular day.

Ageing of the skin was defined as having a wrinkled appearance, senile dryness and skin atrophy.

The study by nutritional epidemiologist Maeve C Cosgrove and other researchers found that those who ate plenty of Vitamin C-rich foods had fewer wrinkles than people whose diets contained little of the vitamin. "Vitamin C is an antioxidant that has been shown to play a role in the synthesis of collagen, the protein that helps keep skin elastic. Our findings add evidence to a predominately supplement and topical application-based hypothesis that what we eat affects our skin-ageing appearance," according to Cosgrove. Read more
Our Paleolithic ancestors ate a more vitamin C-rich diet than modern humans do. Since vitamin is non-toxic and cheap, taking supplements is probably beneficial or at worst, a waste of a little money.

I have been taking fenugreek and massaging for about three months... is it a good time to stop? and will they remain this size permenantly? I still want them to enlarge even more.

Switch to another breast enlargement herb for awhile.

Taking Fenugreek and massaging with it has helped my breast enlargement. I want to switch to continue the affect... Which herb comes the closest to fenugreek that will create the same result?

Saw palmetto is a proven breast enlargement herb. It just takes longer to work than fenugreek.

What do you think of the liquid extract version?

Caitlin MacKenna said...

I've never tried orange extract.

Not orange extract. Liquid Fenugreek extract that is available at Whole Foods.

Extracts are generally good because they're concentrated and are usually standardized.

If you're talking about using the pulp from making fenugreek tea that you've drunk, I suppose you could do that. I would think that you would prefer it to be warm.

Should i drink fenugreek tea warm or cold? I have done mastitis surgery to my right breast and its become smaller than left breast. I have started drinking fenugreek tea two times and massaging 1 time is it ok?

I think the tea would taste better hot, but I've never drunk iced fenugreek tea. It may be great. Your routine sounds fine although you might want to massage twice daily.

so, tell me, does that mean oranges and fenugreek are a good mixture if you want to feel younger? im not old, not in one bit (almost 30) but i had 3 (bout to have 4) children. it puts a bit of wear and tear on your breasts and body... i look ok to most, but when i look in the mirror, the saggy breasts and the crinkles of motherhood are obvious to me.

A good combination, rather than mixture, but yes.
