A Few Beers a Week Boosts Sperm Counts

A few beers a week could help men start a family by boosting their sperm count,a  study suggests..
Men hoping to become fathers are often advised to avoid alcohol for fear of harming their fertility.

But a study suggests a few small beers a week or bottle of wine may actually help men start a family.

Italian researchers who asked 323 men about their alcohol consumption found moderate drinkers had a better sperm count.

This worked out as up to a bottle and small glass of wine a week, or seven small bottles of beer. Read more

A Beer a Day Keeps Heart Attacks Away

A new study has found that even one beer a day can reduce the risk of heart attack by a quarter.
On a sunny day, there is nothing as delicious as a cool, crisp beer.

And drinking a pint a day is good for the heart, a study has found.

While binge drinking is known to harm our health, moderate consumption reduces the risk of heart and blood vessel diseases by a quarter, researchers discovered.

The team, from the IRCCS Mediterranean Neurological Institute, Pozzilli, said the alcohol and other chemicals in the drink reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and artery disease. Read more
