Eating a handful of berries every day reduces people's risk of dying from heart disease by 40 per cent, new research suggests.
Antioxidants known as anthocyanins, which give the fruit their colour, lower the risk of the condition by improving artery stiffness, lowering blood pressure and reducing inflammation, a review of 25 studies found.

Men hoping to become fathers are often advised to avoid alcohol for fear of harming their fertility.
But a study suggests a few small beers a week or bottle of wine may actually help men start a family.
Italian researchers who asked 323 men about their alcohol consumption found moderate drinkers had a better sperm count.

Jujube fruits, which are known as red dates due to them looking similar to the Middle-Eastern staple, programme lung, breast and prostate cancer cells to commit suicide, a study published in the journal Food & Function found.
